Lily Allen gave birth to a baby girl Friday, according to multiple reports.
The news of the British pop star, TV host and fashion designer’s new daughter is “especially wonderful because the 26-year-old had very publicly suffered through two previous miscarriages,” one report said.
After miscarrying her first pregnancy in January 2008 while she was dating British musician Ed Simmons, Allen in 2010 lost a baby boy after contracting a viral infection during her pregnancy.
Allen and her husband, painter and decorator Sam Cooper, were showered online with best wishes for them and their newborn.
Allen’s friend Sam Chew Tweeted, "sending out love to lily, sam and mini cooper...... YES."
Another pal, Charlie Condou, Tweeted that the singer had a little girl,” People magazine reported.
Allen revealed she was expecting last June, when she and Cooper got married in Gloucestershire, England. She has since taken his last name.
According to People, Allen’s UK rep had no comment on the birth of the star’s daughter.
