Micky Dolenz: From Attempted Suicide to Reemerging Star

Micky Dolenz is most famously known for his role as the drummer for "The Monkees", but in the early 1970s, after Tork and Nesmith had left the Monkees and Dolenz's first marriage was collapsing, he attempted suicide by walking into the middle of city traffic and sitting down.Reemerging today, having beaten his depression, Dolenz is gearing up for a role in an upcoming SyFy made for television movie called "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid".Micky Dolenz will appear in the U.S. television movie "Mega Python vs Gatoroid," opposite his fellow former pop icons Debbie Gibson and Tiffany, Syfy said. Dolenz was a member of the 1960s music group The Monkees and co-starred in a TV sitcom named for the band for two seasons. Tiffany and Gibson were 1980s teen singing sensations. Syfy's Saturday Original Movie "Mega Python vs Gatoroid" is currently filming in Los Angeles.
