Muppet icon Miss Piggy prepared for the Wednesday release of her new movie “The Muppets” by giving a few high profile interviews with magazines and talk show hosts across the country. One of the main topics of discussion? Her longstanding relationship with Kermit the Frog, Us Weekly reports.
When asked what the key was to a long-term Hollywood relationship, the actors portraying the two beloved Muppets responded in character.
“A Hollywood relationship is like any other relationship,” Kermit said sensibly. “You have to trust each other.”
“True,” Miss Piggy agreed, “except in Hollywood, your publicists, managers, agents and hangers-on also have to trust each other.”
Us Weekly proposed the idea of a reality show for the pair and asked each for his or her ideal title. Kermit came up with “The Real Houseflies of Hollywood,” while Miss Piggy opted for “Extreme Makeover: Ham Edition.”
Miss Piggy also appeared on Chelsea Handler’s talk show “Chelsea Lately,” where Handler interrogated her about her life with the famous frog. Commenting on their “interesting relationship,” Handler asked Miss Piggy for details about their sex life. Miss Piggy kept it clean, however.
