The Missoni for Target launch Tuesday crashed the discount retailer's Web site and sold out at many stores, but some items are still available as of Wednesday.
The Christian Science Monitor reported that swimwear, baby clothes, girls' clothes, and electronic accessories from the high-end Italian knitwear designer are still in stock at Target.com.
The retailer will be getting periodic shipments of new items until Oct. 22, which will include men's and women's clothing, accessories and home furnishings.
On eBay and Craigslist Tuesday, Missoni for Target items were popping up for sale, in some cases at up to four times their original prices. CNN Money reported that among other items, a travel tote for sale for $165 on Craigslist, originally priced at $34.99. Missoni items, however, regularly sell for over $1,000 at high-end department stores.
Joshua Carter, a spokesman for Target, said "Target is aware of online auction sites carrying the Missoni for Target collection -- this is similar to past designer collections. We encourage guests to shop the collection at Target and Target.com to ensure they are getting the best deal and authentic product," he said. He added that store supplies will vary by location.
