Natalie Mendoza is leaving the troubled big-budget Spider-Man musical, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
The actress was just one of the four actors injured during rehearsals and the previews, having sustained a concussion. She was injured back in November when a rope holding a piece of equipment hit her on the head while she stood offstage.
She left the production to recover, returning on December 16. However, vocal problems forced her to leave again.
Mendoza played the villainess in the show, Arachne, a role created specifically for the show by director and co-writer Julie Taymor.
The production of Spider-Man has been plagued by injuries, including the most recent: Christopher Tierney horrifically fell 30 feet when a harness malfunctioned. He is still recovering at the hospital.
Previous credits for Mendoza include Les Miserables, Spelling Bee, Romeo and Juliet, and more, according to Playbill.
