Philadelphia Airport Delays: 700 Flights Canceled During Airport Delays

Philadelphia airport delays have caused nearly 700 flights to be canceled due to the heavy snow storm. According to DelawareOnline.com, the Philadelphia International Airport is expected to resume by mid-day after major cancellations on Sunday.

"The airlines are indicating that they are working to become normal operations around 11 a.m. or noon today," Victoria Lupica, airport spokeswoman, said.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Philadephia airport is experiencing average delays of two hours and thirty-eight minutes.

According to Lupica, 400 flights were canceled Sunday at the Philadelphia airport, and another 300 were canceled Monday, resulting in around 1,200 stranded passengers.
