Rachel Zoe: The Stylist Expresses Admiration for the 60s Advertising Era, and Offers Fashion Advice

Rachel Zoe, of Bravos The Rachel Zoe Project, responded to a conference call on Tuesday, answering a range of questions from reporters.When asked about which television series she would love to style, she said, Id have to say Mad Men. But I wouldnt change a thing. I think the styling is fantastic The overall tone of it and the period it was in, its a period Im a fan of. Mad Men takes place during the 1960s advertising era.Zoe also offered great insight into fashion that can be applied to boomers and young women alike. She said, I dont think people should say, Oh, only a celebrity can wear that, because its not true. I think that with what the fashion world is giving up right now at every price point, with all these fast fashion places and everything, you can pretty much find every trend everywhere within any budget. I think thats whats so great about the time were in right now.Additionally, she gave her input for what will be in for the fall season. She advised on chunky knit sweaters, tailored tuxedo jackets, leather jackets, trench coats, and over-the-knee boots. She was also adamant about her opinions of what sexy is and to the stylist, sexy is subtle. Zoe said, I think that sexiness should be in the subtlety. I dont think people should wear dresses two sizes too small so that its tight and you have that much cleavage in your face. I think sexiness is better left to the imagination.
