Robert Downey Jr. to Produce, Star in Steve McQueen "Yucatan" Project

Robert Downey Jr. wants to pair up with Steve McQueen, but since that's physically impossible, as McQueen hasn't been around for 30 years, the Iron Man star is doing the next best thing: produce and star in Yucatan, a movie based on an original idea by McQueen, Entertainment Weekly reported. The film follows a "renegade deep-sea salvage expert" who gets a job to steal underwater treasure off the coast of Mexico, the online publication said.EW also reported that McQueen's son found an old stash of the late actor's notes on the project.McQueen, who died at age 50 in 1980, wrote around 1,500 pages of notes for the project nearly four decades ago. Although an official script was never formed, Warner Brothers owns the rights to the notes and storyboards.Downey Jr. is also speculated to star in the Wizard of Oz prequel film, and there are talks of him also joining Sandra Bullock in Gravity.
