Ron Isley Releases First Solo Album "Mr. I" on Nov. 30

Ron Isley, after being honored at the Soul Train Awards, may be honored at next year's award show as well, as the 68-year-old singer is releasing his first solo album tomorrow, on Nov. 30.

According to CollegeNews.com, the lead singer of the 1950s band, The Isley Brothers, decided to work on a solo album while he was in prison for tax evasion. Now, seven months after he served his prison term, Isley will release the album, entitled Mr. I.

Aretha Franklin and rapper T.I. join Isley on his new album. According to Syracuse.com, Isley started working on the album in a chapel in prison.
