Ron Paul Releases Family Cookbook

Ron Paul’s campaign is out with a new TV ad that takes aim at Mitt Romney, Rick Perry and Barack Obama, labeling them as “smooth talking politicians.”

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul is taking time out of his campaign to release his 2011 Family Cookbook, a tradition in the Paul home. According to the Los Angeles Times, each cookbook is $8, though the price decreases as you buy more. Buying over 100 diminishes the price to just $2.50 each, the newspaper said.

Paul’s official website is showcasing the cookbook as a holiday gift and offers easy purchase for interested customers. It touts the book as “28 pages of tasty recipes from the Paul family and friends.”

“This much in-demand and collectible cookbook will ‘warm your kitchen and your heart,’” the website continues. “Packed full of photos of the entire Paul family, the book also includes Carol Paul’s ‘The American Dream’ which briefly recounts the history of Ron Paul and the Paul family.”

Carol Paul reportedly compiles the cookbook each year, and last year’s copy included a photo that the LA Times said subtly announced Paul’s intention of running for the White House. It includes a picture of Paul’s family wearing jerseys reading “Ron Paul” with the number 12 displayed prominently on the front, a reference to the year 2012.

CBS News reported that Paul is currently polling in within the top three or four candidates in both Iowa and New Hampshire.
