The Royal wedding date has British brides in fear, especially because the wedding date hasn't yet been announced. According to Telegraph, a British news publication, many British brides-to-be are worried that their wedding day could fall on the same day as Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding day.
Considered the biggest British wedding in nearly thirty years, according to Telegraph, British brides who have also been planning one of the most important days of their lives fear that the royal wedding could steal the spotlight from their wedding day.
"If their wedding was on my wedding day, I don't know what I would do," Anna Whitcomb, 28, told the Telegraph. "I know all my family members and guests would want to watch the celebration [of the royal wedding] and would be distracted."
"I'm supposed to be the princess," Whitcomb added, "and now I have a real princess to compete with."
According to CBSNews.com, Majesty magazine editor Ingrid Seward says that the royal wedding stealing the spotlight is not the only concern.
If "you happen to be getting married on the same day as [William and Middleton], the logistics of possibly getting your guests into the center of London would be a nightmare." Seward said.
According to CBS News, wedding planners suggest that British brides-to-be should set their date, and not let the royal wedding date control the start of the rest of their lives.
