Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is an XML-based format for content distribution. RSS feeds are free and ThirdAge currently uses RSS 2.0.
We offer RSS feeds for two types of content:
News story RSS feeds (include headlines, summaries and links back to ThirdAge.com for the full article)
ThirdAge Blog RSS feeds (separate feeds for posts and comments are available)
Viewing the RSS Feeds
When you click an RSS link below, your browser will open a new window with XML (or eXtensible Markup Language) code. This is to be expected. To view the headlines, add the feed to an RSS news reader, or to a browser that supports RSS feeds.
To access ThirdAge.com's RSS feeds, first install a news reader. Then, add each feed manually. See the FAQ page for more details.
An alternative to downloading a dedicated news reader is to use a Web-based news reader. For example, My Yahoo! users can now add ThirdAge RSS feeds directly to their personal page.
Terms for ThirdAge RSS Feeds
We encourage the use of ThirdAge.com RSS feeds for personal use in a news reader or as part of a non-commercial Web site or blog. We require proper format and attribution whenever ThirdAge content is posted on your Web site, and we reserve the right to require that you cease distributing ThirdAge content.
