Sarah Ferguson Offered Show by Oprah

Sarah Ferguson, the former Duchess of York, has been offered a show for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).An OWN spokesperson, however, said that they are in talks with Ferguson for a docuseries, not a talk show as many believe. Currently, there is nothing finalized to announce.Oprahs new network is set to launch January 1st, leaving her only 6 months left to fill in time slots with original shows.The New York Post reports that she may only have enough material to cover two to three nights a week with original shows. The rest of the week will consist of reruns of network series.Ferguson re-entered the public after a scandal surfaced in which she was caught on tape trying to offer a tabloid reporter an opportunity to meet her ex-husband, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, for $750,000. The tape showed her pocketing a $40,000 down payment.Financial trouble motivated her to try and make the doomed deal. The reporter set up the sting by pretending to have mutual friends with the duchess.Oprah interviewed Ferguson shortly after the scandal, in which the former Duchess publicly apologized for her errors. Reportedly, Oprah was impressed with her ability to face the public after the scandal.
