Scarlett Johansson, FBI Looking Into Alleged Hacking

Scarlett Johansson could be a victim of one of "a series of computer intrusions" targeting celebrities that FBI officials said on Wednesday they are continuing to probe. There have been a number of reports that nude pictures of Scarlett Johansson were allegedly hacked from her cellphone, reports The Los Angeles Times.

It is not known, nor would the FBI confirm, how many people had been victimized or give specifics about the length of the investigation, the nature of the hacks or how many suspects were involved.

The first reports of compromising images off the computers, email accounts or cellphones of young celebrities surfaced in March. Hackers are the likely culprit.

The cases reportedly number into the dozens, but at the time, FBI officials would not comment on any investigation into the cases.

Now, that has changed.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller told The Los Angeles Times, “I can confirm that the FBI is investigating a series of computer intrusions targeting high-profile figures.”

According to The Los Angeles Times, on Wednesday, there were reports of multiple nude images being taken from Johansson's cellphone that ended up on the Internet, but FBI officials would not say whether the actress was one of the celebrities in the probe.
