The Sound of Music: Oprah Airs "Sound of Music" Reunion Episode Again
The Sound of Music returned to Oprah again in yesterday's airing of the Oprah Winfrey Show. According to The Epoch Times, the cast of The Sound of Music celebrated the reunion of the film's 45th anniversary.
The Sound of Music's Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer reunites on "Oprah" -- the first time Plummer had been with the cast since 1965 when the movie opened, Orlando Sentinel reported. The seven actors who played the Von Trapp children also joined the reunion.
The Sound of Music episode first aired earlier this year on "Oprah" in October, and aired again Dec. 27 as one of the most-watched episodes of the final season on Winfrey's show, AllVoices.com reported.
The interview included Andrews' conversation about her vocal cord surgery in 1997 and bookwriting.
"I was a real child prodigy," Andrews said. "I had like four octaves, and I could sing cadenzas like crazy. When I went up really high, the dogs from miles around the world howl."
"There's no DNA here, but they're a special kind of family," said Heather Menzies, who played Louisa, of The Sound of Music family.
