Tetris could be therapeutic to play. Scientists have found the video game might help ease flashbacks of traumatic events, LiveScience reports.
Whats more, it seems this could be unique to Tetris. The game involves moving and rotating shapes falling down a playing field. The player aims to create blocks in horizontal lines, without leaving any gaps.
The research is being conducted by Scientists at Oxford University, in England.
Emily Holmes is a clinical psychologist and one of the researchers. She says:
"Whilst playing Tetris can reduce flashback-type memories without wiping out the ability to make sense of the event, we have shown that not all computer games have this beneficial effect - some may even have a detrimental effect on how people deal with traumatic memories.
