Tony Robbins new show called Breakthrough is set to premiere. Last month, NBC said its new U.S. alternative series "Breakthrough with Tony Robbins" would premiere in July - and did last night on July 27, 2010.
The network described the self-help guru/motivational speaker's new show as "an inspirational, hour long series starring Robbins and his team of experts who will help participants and their families overcome complex challenges and personal obstacles, and turn their lives around." It is currently set to air each Tuesday for five more weeks as it is currently slated as a six episode series.
The show is already being criticized by viewers and television critics as being an extension of Robbins' self help series of books, videos and seminars - but NBC remains firm in their stance with the shows' intentions.
