Transformers 3 Extra Hurt on Set

Transformers 3, currently shooting in Hammond, Ind., was the scene of a serious injury as a movie extra was hurt by a flying metal object during a stunt, according to Indiana State Police. Police said Gabriela Cedillo, 24, of Chicago, was driving on a closed set of Transformers 3 when the object crashed through the windshield of her car and struck her, WGN-TV, Chicago, reported Thursday.Cedillo, who was driving her own vehicle in the scene, was an extra and not a stunt crew member, police said. The vehicle kept moving and striking a concrete barrier wall for nearly a mile before stopping.Cedillo sustained a serious head injury, police said, and was taken to a hospital.Transformers 3 is the sequel to Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and is scheduled for release on July 1, 2011 in Real D 3D And IMAX 3D.
