Valentine's Day-How to Keep Flowers from Wilting

Valentines Day is just around the corner and if you are lucky that special someone may make your day with some fresh cut flowers.

You are going to want to keep that memory of this happy day with whomever the love may be in your life. There are several ways to keep your flowers as fresh as possible with items you are likely to have lying around in your house.

One way is using hairspray. Stand a foot away from your flowers and give them a quick spray of hairspray to keep them fresh.

Another way to keep the flowers alive is to use vodka. If you simply add a few drops of vodka along with a pinch of sugar in your vase water, this allows the flowers to remain fresh longer.

If you have some change lying around, throw a penny and a teaspoon of sugar in your vase water.

These ways to keep flowers fresh may seem bizarre, yet work exceptionally well as long as you remember to change the vase water on a regular basis.
