Venice Film Festival 2010 opened yesterday with Swan Lake, a new film in which Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis star.
According to BBC, this years Festival jury is headed by Kill Bill director Quentin Tarantino. A total of 79 movies are expected to premiere over the length of the Festival. The jury will award the Golden Lion trophy, which will be battled among 22 features.
Other films in consideration for the award include Sophia Coppolas Somewhere, Julian Schnabels Miral, and Francois Ozons Potiche, BBC reported.
The 67th Venice International Film Festival, a more accurate term for the event, runs until Sept. 11.
