For The Walking Dead fans, most will admit that the series has offered up quite the ride, leaving manyclamoringfor more episodes as soon as possible. It was clear after the first Walking Dead episode that the showwouldbe a hit - prompting a renewal of the series in the first week of November following the Halloween night premiere.

Everyone braced for the first episode of The Walking Dead on Halloween night, and was entertained by the series storyline and gory visuals. Tonight is expected to be just as intense with a shocking end for the final instillation of the 6 episode series.

According to an interview conducted by TV Guide, because Frank Darabont, writer, executive producer and director, decided to stay on the series as the main writer, his executive producer and writer Charles Eglee, decided to leave, as he was supposed to take over the series after Darabont left. This comes as fresh news because reports came out earlier in the month describing a mass firing of the writing staff by Darabont, and assigning scripts to freelance writers.

If the second season is anything like the thrilling, gory and emotional story line of the first, then the series is sure to survive. Dont expect a pleasant ending to this season though, as it is sure to live up to the jaw-dropping intensity of the first episodes. Titled TS-19, revealed to mean Test Subject 19, the finale is sure to amaze. Perhaps some questions will be cleared up, like where is Merele Dixon?

The future of the series is unknown, except for the knowledge of a 13 episode second season planned for next October 2011.

Fans will not be left without though, as the first season of The Walking Dead will be released on DVD and Blue-ray by Spring 2011.
