Weight loss doctor Arie Oren was arrested Monday on charges of indecent assault. The weight loss physician had been accused of offering sexual advances as an additional method of weight loss.
Several of Orens patients reported him to the police.
Prosecutors said Oren inappropriately touched at least six women during consultation visits at his weight loss clinic in Conshohocken, PA. It was believed by investigators that Oren told at least one patient that having sex with him would help her shed pounds.
Oren used such methods as fat-burning massages to make sexual advances towards his patients. Oren was also accused of touching a patients genitals back in 2008 and making lewd comments to her as she stormed out of his clinic.
A decade ago, Oren was in a battle to have his medical license reinstated after he was convicted of federal racketeering charges.
Oren was released Monday from the Montgomery County jail on $100,000 bond.
