Wilson Phillips may be gearing up for a Christmas album release and a revitalized career, but the show is over for Carnie Wilson as a spokesperson for The Fresh Diet. According to reports from "Star" magazine, Wilson was fired for cheating on her diet plan.

"Carnie was promoting her cheesecakes while she was supposed to be only eating our three meals and two snacks a day," said publicist Ezzy Duchman from the weight loss plan. "We had to take her off the corporate website because she has not been a successful case. She didn't stick to it, and she didn't lose weight. We had to cut ties with her."

Wilson once weighed more than 300 pounds. She opted for gastric bypass in 1999, and has since been able to control her weight. In 2008, she credited part of that weight loss to her cooking for reality TV cohorts Bobby Brown and Maureen McCormick on "Outsiders Inn."

"I just wanted to feed people. I got to cook every day, and that brings me a lot of comfort," Wilson said. "I've been really changing how I eat. It's great. I cooked really fattening food on the show but I lost 11 pounds while we did it."

Wilson told ShowbizSpy how she was able to lose with such a seemingly unorthodox plan. "I cooked for everybody on the set every day. I'd wake up early and bake and then I wouldn't be eating the food. I would eat and spit, taste and spit. Then I made my tofu. We were cooking healthy. I was doing a bunch of dishes at the same time. I made my vegetables."
