Zsa Zsa Gabor is resting following surgery at a Los Angeles hospital where she is also being treated for an infection, Gabor’s husband told The Associated Press.
Frederic Prinz von Anhalt said Sunday that doctors at UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center successfully reattached a tube in Gabor's stomach that became loose and led to bleeding. Gabor was rushed to the hospital Saturday.
According to AP, von Anhalt says Gabor could be sent home within a few days. Doctors are waiting for antibiotics to take effect on the infection, he added.
Von Anhalt calls Gabor a “fighter” and says he’s “very optimistic” about her situation, AP reports.
Gabor has been repeatedly hospitalized since falling out of bed and breaking her hip in July 2010. She had a leg amputated in January.
