Judgment

If you compare yourself with others you may become vain or bitter, for always there will greater and lesser persons than yourself. – Max Ehrmann We are all quick to pass judgment on the world, on others, and on ourselves. Some times it seems the world is so critical, cold, and cruel. Some times we are especially critical of ourselves. Some times in yoga class I find individuals struggle with the ability to simply release themselves from their self conscious ways and be present and aware. More…

When you can not get up and out of bed life seems difficult. Then when you are able to get up and take a simple walk there is sense of gratitude.  We give thanks for the simple things in life. The ability to make the body move is what gives us the power to live and experience the wonders of life. The breath is the ultimate power. Without the breath life ends. In yoga the breath is referred to as the “kiss of life”. More…

I am on the couch unable to move. I am fifty-five and this is the first time in my life I have been down. With the body unable to move the mind has lots of time to think. I have cancer, I had a radical hysterectomy, I am thrown into menopause…where is the silver lining in this cloud? More…
