The Power to Dream with Faith

Like many people, I am finding myself at point in life where I just don’t have the same willpower I once did. I tell myself to do things like eat healthier or get more exercise, but I’m just not motivated the way I used to be.

When giving up is not an option, but motivation isn’t working, where else can you turn? Consider faith. Getting in touch with what you believe or hold to be true is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.

Many if us have deep faith but have forgotten how to tap into it personally. I have been doing a great deal of exploration on this and have found that I often have to remember to believe, to literally and consciously choose to believe and then act on what I believe to prove that I actually do. Talk to Your Kids About Their Dreams

When I recently spoke at a PTA meeting, a father was there with his young daughter while mom was working late at the office. After my speech, he turned to her and said, "Tell me one of your dreams." With a big smile she said, "Daddy, my dream is to be a teacher." I waited because the logical response I typically hear to this dream is "Teachers don't make enough money so perhaps you should consider something else." Read more…

Breaking Bad Habits

What's stopping you from achieving your dreams? Is there some habit or behavior that you keep repeating and all the while continually complaining about it? There is strength in recognizing our weaknesses and power in changing them. If you want to make a serious change in your life for the better, identify your so-called "bad habits."

For some, when the pain gets too intense, the loss too great or they can no longer tolerate a situation, only then will they do something about it. I get like that when I hear myself whining and complaining about the same old thing over and over. That's when I must make a change. The more I can't stand something the more motivated I am to change it. Read more…

A Simple Plan for Your Dreams

In our very full lives we spend so much time doing what we have to do, that rarely is there time "left over" for our dreams. If you want to end this year right, begin to plan for next year.

I'm not encouraging you to map out your days and hours or obsess about strategy. But I am suggesting that you carve out one hour of DreamTime for yourself. If you like this process, you can then do another round with your spouse and family. But let’s begin with you. After all, once you connect with your passion -- what you love -- you’ll have more energy (and perhaps even time) for the people you love. Read more…

Life's Dream for You

There are the dreams you have for your life and then there are the dreams that life has for you. At times, we may wonder what's going on or feel lost, but life has its plan which may include your dreams ... or something completely different.

We're all part of the fiber that makes life whole, and to that end, we have our place here. For such a time as this, you were created to do some important work in the world. Do you have any idea, in your wildest imagination, what life wants from you? You were born to fulfill a sacred function, a mission, a purpose, perhaps even a calling. Not all missions have to be like Mother Theresa's. Some of our missions are quieter, more discreet, but nonetheless essential. Read more…

Power Shifting

Imagine how your life could improve if you could shift your state of being, attitude and mindset gracefully and easily anytime you choose. In this article I will show you how you can do this in three easy steps.

I was attending a convention recently that I have gone to for the last five years that has typically been excellent for my business. But this year, as I stood sentinel at my booth, I felt tired. People smiled and said hello as they walked by, but few were stopping to visit.

My insecurity activated my doubt and I began to wonder why I was here. The internal dialogue kicked in as I began to convince myself I should skip the rubber chicken dinner, retire early and think about cutting the trip short. Read more…
