Has anyone tried mineral makeup?
I've been hearing and seeing a lot lately on mineral makeup. And everything I hear it says that it helps to minimize pores and wrinkles. Has anyone tried it? Is it true? Is it really better for your skin?
Mineral Makeup
I used it for a while, and it was great! My 17 Yr old daughter, uses it and swears by it. It is good and we both like it.
Mineral Makeup
I have just started using Loreal Bare Mineral makeup in Ivory and I looove it! It takes no time at all, looks great.
Mineral Makeup
I've been using Sheer Cover for close to a year and I love it! Hope I never have to go back to a liquid foundation.
mineral makeup
I use it all the time. I've been using Bare Essentials for years and recently tried the Avon Mineral makeup which works just as good - and is less expensive.
Mineral Makeup Not For Me
I have been trying Mineral Makeup for the past 5 months. I gave it a good try. The brand I am using is so powdery that it goes EVERYWHERE! I can't get dressed before applying the makeup or it goes all over my blouse/shirt. My bathroom looks like I spilled powder all over the place. Somedays it looks nice, but I always have that look my grandmother always had when I was little, that powdered with a huge puff look. On me the mineral makeup looks powdery when applied to my face. I am not happy with the outcome. I miss the previous foundation I was using before switching to the Mineral. Maybe another brand would work out better? What do you all think?
Mineral Makeup Ingredients
When Choosing Mineral Makeup, please be sure to read the ingredient labels. Be careful, some brands contain "Bismuth Oxichloride" which is kin to Arsenic and can cause sensitive skin to become irritated. I make my own mineral makeup and have studied the ingredients. I do not know if I am allowed to post my site on here so I will not unless someone asks.
I use it all the time, I
I use it all the time, I love the way it feels like I am not wearing make up at all. It looks nice too, probably more natural than a liquid or gel type make up. I wear one i purchase from qvc and love it, but now avon has come out with it and I think I will try theirs too. try it , you might like it :O) sue

You have to try it
I've been a user of Mineral makeup for several years now - tried Mary Kay and Clinique - still use some of their products but Mineral makeup - namely "bare minerals" makes me feel I'm not wearing anything at all on my face and it gives me an "airbrushed" look - I've had so many comments in stores - about the fact that I seem to be "glowing"...you MUST try it!
mineral make up
A great product! Try the brand from Artistry!
Another question
In addition to the makeup not making you look so "shiny," I also need one that provides good coverage because I do have a few scars.
Thanks.
Is there a mineral makeup that is not shiny?
This summer I tried mineral makeup for the first time - I bought Bare Naturale and, while I loved the way it felt on my face, I looked very shiny. Is there a mineral makeup that is not so luminous and has more of a matte finish? I know the "luminosity" is supposed to help hide wrinkles but I felt like you needed sunglasses on to look at me. Thanks!
Has anyone tried minral makeup?
I've been using L'Oreal's Bare Naturale mineral make up all summer. If you have a slight big of color from the sun, this works very well. The secret is to use a large round brush, not the one that comes with it, and put the powder into another jar top, then tap the brush into it. The best way to put it on is by making circles on your face. That way it won't cake. It's very inexpensive, just around $15. It has an SPF of 19, not great, but adequate.
Mineral Makeup that's better than Jane Iredale
Hi. My salon just switched from Jane Iredale to this new line called Mirabella. It is so much better. The colors look like something you want to wear because they'll make you look pretty. Real eye candy. None of this boring brown shade stuff for me. And smooth and silky. Some of the mineral makeup feels like dirt. This is nice.
Mineral Makeup
I had mineral makeup applied professionally at a salon, and initially it looked great--my skin looked and felt "velvety". But after several hours, it seemed to have "melted." My skin is quite oily in a few areas, and when I tried to freshen up the makeup using translucent loose powder, the makeup "slid" on my face, and made my pores very pronounced. This makeup was NOT cheap--for the foundation, fixation spray and 2 brushes, I paid $170.00. Luckily I didn't open up the packages and was able to return all of it the next day. The salon was gracious and refunded my money. Word to the wise: try before you buy. I'm an impulse shopper and bought before I gave it a chance to see how well it did on my skin.
Jane Iredale mineral makeup
Hi, I've tried Bare minerals. I know my sister & best girlfriend use it & like it. To me, it was always too heavy looking no matter how I applied it. I originally started using & still use Jane Iredale mineral makeup. It comes in a gazillion shades, where Bare Min. does not. It also goes on lighter--not so heavy looking/feeling. Plus I like the SPF 20 built in sunscreen. Thing is it is not cheap by any means & good luck finding it discounted unless you venture across it on Ebay. For the loose powder it is $42. I know the Bare Minerals is probably half that price, but it is a personal choice. J.I. now has a makeup with an SPF 15 with a built in moisturizer that comes in various shades for about $32. Hope that helps, Crickett53
By the way, the Jane Iredale
By the way, the Jane Iredale makeup that comes in the SPF 15 is called Dream Tints & is more like a creamy makeup you apply with your fingers. It goes on really nice & light looking(yet covers), but I only use it if it's late in the day or at night cuz of the only SPF of 15.
mineral makeup
I have been using the Bare Minerals for about three years and I love the way it feels and looks.Took me about 2 days to get use to putting this makeup on an now I wouldn't use anything else and I am a makeup junkie!
