Question

What causes PolyMyalgia Rheumatica and how do you get rid of it?
I was diagnosed with PMR in 2007 and was put on Prednisone. I am still taking it 3.5 years later and have developed Diabetes 2 as a result and also Osteoporosis. I am being treated for both of these side effect diseases. Now my cholesterol is said to be too high for a person who is diabetic, but the statin drugs also have side effects. I would like to get to the root cause of the PMR and get rid of it before the meds kill me!
