Hello Lois.

Hello, I just re-joined ThirdAge again after having been away for a few years. I am no longer working outside the home and have more time for crocheting and blogging and taking photos of my neighborhood.

I moved from Southern California to Southern Georgia (I know, talk about culture shock) but I'm making the best of it and figure that everything happens for a reason.

I do, however, enjoy nature and there is lots and lots of green stuff here. Once summer is over and the mosquitoes settle down, I can spend more time outside again.

So, let me go and figure out how to post a photo, so that I can submit a couple of them to get started in this group.

I have many images but am new and cannot figure out how to load images. ?. I find ThirdAge very busy webpage and not too easy to decipher. Maybe its age...ha.

To post pictures you need to have them saved off-site. I have mine at Photobucket. We have an album for photos here.

You may have to play somewhere at TA to figure out which photo link you will need to get your pictures to load. Html links still work.

I began to login and used the -cm which is now blocked. I learn something new every time I come. :)

discussion at the "other site. We are short people to post and it isn't that difficult. I have been so darned busy with art and shelter work I am behind on my own photos and our show is due at the end of the month. I have photos to go, but they are not tweaked and they need to be emailed to the lab for canvas printing and watercolor paper printing.

I get the same message when I try to add you as a friend, that you already are. Doesn't make sense though, as it has let me add others as friends.

Just a thought here on the edit and delete options. Maybe I am being paranoid, since TA has never responded to any of our questions. May be they don't want us to have edit and delete so they can "capture" anything we post, i.e. our photos. This gives them total control over us here at TA.

I haven't taken any photos lately to post anyway. I want to get out and capture what little Autumn we have here. Our seasons tend to blend from one to another, or at least Autumn and Winter do. One day it's Summer, the next, Winter. Autumn just slips by somehow. A few trees are turning, but nothing spectacular.

I love it. I always wanted an "adopted" grandmother's tea set when i was a girl, but didn't get it. She had a lot of them, but one was my favorite.

Val, I scrolled down and read your posting. I have the list of TA members that you sent. I haven't looked at it in awhile. It's tucked safe away in a folder.

I've been getting some feedback on the Pet photo shoot I did. That in a couple of the people I did their pets have come back in for more copies of the pictures.

I haven't taken any of my own photo lately,except for our oldest son on his birthday. Took some of the family that day too, but none really "post" worthy, just grab shots.

Lois, I did send TA the same message you sent on the copyright thing. I have never gotten an answer from them either. I don't know how many times I have requested the edit and delete and I know they much have that request from most of TA.

I quit emailing Dan when he said there was nothing wrong with my profile page. I have tried and tried to add my info, but it doesn't work. So, I just don't have a profile. LOL!

TA has not chosen to respond to any of my messages. I am going to email Dan on Tuesday if there is still no response and request that all my graphics and photos be removed.

I remember several photo members using the copyright symbol on their photos in the old TA just because of this type of thing.

Val created the symbol for a lot of us. GinnyAnn you still uses it on all your graphics if I am correct. Well, you put your name on all your graphics you post.

I wonder if I should share my photos or graphics here any more. Sounds to me like they are stealing our work by claiming it this way.

Early on TA has a message like this in their Terms of Service and we managed to get it modified. The new crew is not responsive and we may want to rethink posting our photos on this site.

Sounds like we are giving away the store so to speak by sharing our photos here.

I got to see all the photos I took from the Photo Shoot over the weekend. I also have a copy of the photos I took. I'll try and post some in the Album later on this week.

Either I deleted the email, not knowing it was from you, Lois, or I didn't get it. Try again and put Thirdage as the subject. I'll know to open that one. < G >

I took a lot of pet photos today, but they were for where I work and I didn't use my camera. I used another one of our photo techs camera. She had hers set up to go and I didn't want to switch out cameras in case the photo came out with diffrent qualities.

It was a photo shoot for Walgreens, where I work. We do several shoots during the year, but this was the only one that was mandatory and for charity. The proceeds go for several Pet Organizations.

I did get to see a lot of dogs today. Only one brave person brought their cat. He was a beauty or should I say handsome.... < G >.

I applaude Val for all of the animal photos she takes for the shelter she volunteers for. I was exhausted after four hours and she does it on a regular basis.

I wouldn't mind doing it as a living, in a studio, under a controlled enviroment.....LOL!

Today is the official first day of Autumn in the U.S. I guess that means it's Spring down under?

I signed up at Red Bubble so I could view everyone's photos you are posting there. Well, not view, which I can anyway, but comment on them. LOL!

Love the slideshow Lois. You have some great photos.

It is really good on Red bubble I must say. You can get good sized photos there, and it is directly commercial which could be good.

As soon as my show is over I shall make an RB website - well I may do it before that, but I need to sort out some decent stuff to put on - looks like a few albums are good, but I don't want too many.

RedBubble has added a few new things. A couple of weeks ago they set it up so you can create a website - http://loisb.redbubble.com/ - of your photos and I just found that you can create a slideshow. So I shall try and share one here.

Funny...not, but sometimes when I check our Photo Gallery it will tell me that there aren't any photos, then the next time they will be there.

Just now, I checked and it was showing only three photos.

Sure wish TA would stabilize. And, I wish that the Gallery would "line" up a little better. The photos are not in a line, if you have noticed. There is a big gap between some of the photos.

But, we do have a Gallery.....LOL!
