Air Purifiers Anyone?

Air Purifiers Anyone?

I have asthma, and I'm allergic to dust. I'm looking into buying an air purifier, but there are so many on the market, I don't know how to choose the best one. I've read that it should have a HEPA filter, but aren't there different kinds of HEPA filters? Have any of you purchased a purifier, and have you noticed that it improved the quality of the air in your home? Do you seem to breathe better?

P.S.

Amazon.com has a discussion group about air filters with about 300 people in the discussion. I was looking for air ionizers and noticed some discussion groups at the bottom of the page.

I Don't Know Much but....

Why don't you check Consumer's Report? Also the NIH (NIH.gov in Bethesda) to see what doctor's think.

Also Amazon has customer reviews on the items purchased. I almost always check the reviews.
