Plan a Fireside Picnic
Is there anything more romantic than cuddling with your sweetie in front of the fire on a warm night? Whether it's a roaring blaze or a romantic flicker, firelight seems to appeal to the erotic senses. In addition to providing warmth -- which means you don't need to wear as much clothing -- fire affects us psychologically as well. It speaks to our most primal selves, symbolizing both danger and protection, which can be an exciting combination!
Visit a gourmet deli for some delectable sandwiches, pick up some fancy potato salad, buy some perfect strawberries and chill a bottle of white wine. While your partner builds a roaring fire (use a large tray filled with candles if you don't have a fireplace), turn off all the lamps, put a few romantic CDs into the changer and spread a cozy comforter on the floor in front of the blaze. Slip into something comfortable and set out the picnic, keeping the wine cold with a full ice bucket. Spend a couple of hours in front of the fire, feeding each other strawberries, sipping wine and kissing each other's fingers.
