Try Something New
Getting stuck in a sexual rut is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, it happens to most couples! Just as everyone has his or her own style of driving, speaking and working, we all have our own lovemaking styles. As we spend more time together, we tend to relax into having sex in ways that are comfortable and familiar, which, as we've just learned, can lead to boredom.
Shake things up a bit! Instead of a "four-course meal," have a hot-and-heavy quickie. If you always make love in the evening, try being intimate in the morning before you go to work. If you're comfortable doing so, get a book or video and experiment with different positions and techniques. Try things you used to like but haven't done in a long time, and experiment with altogether new things! With a little effort and a lot of "practice," you'll find a few new lovemaking styles to add to your repertoire.
