Botox & Hair Style Survey Brings Surprising Results

Would you give yourself Botox injections? How about give yourself your own hair cut? We would hope your answer is "no" to both! But a staggering one in five women would inject their own face with Botox, while only 11 percent would cut their own hair, according to a survey by U.K.'s The Good Surgeon's Guide.

The survey was conducted on 1356 women across the UK and found 22 percent would consider injecting their own face with a Botox kit.

More than half, 54 percent, said they would undergo the procedure if it was performed by a professional.

To emphasise the seriousness of DIY Botox, another question put to the women revealed only 11 per cent would cut their own hair.

The survey also revealed that of the 22 percent who would consider DIY Botox, 64 percent would rather conduct their own treatment than have a beautician inject them.

Christiana Clogg, founder of The Good Surgeon Guide, said: "To discover that more people would inject themselves than cut their hair is really shocking."

"The purpose of our site is to stress the importance of carrying out research before undergoing any procedure.

"Just because DIY Botox is available, doesn't mean it is recommended."
