Kama Sutra: Lessons in Lovemaking

The ancient Taoists and Tantrics, who studied manuscripts like the Kama Sutra, believed that animals could teach us a lot about lovemaking and suggested that lovers delve into nature together to observe certain patterns.

Think of how tigers and lions mate, for example. The male typically mounts the female from the rear and gently but aggressively bites her neck and pulls her ruff. This position allows for deep thrusting and what appears to be male control of the situation.

Interestingly, though, rear-entry positions allow a woman much freedom. She's able to stimulate her own clitoris while receiving maximum G-spot stimulation. The man's hands are left free to touch and stimulate the secondary erogenous zones along the woman's back, buttocks, breasts and chest -- much like the tiger who uses his paws and teeth!

Variety is easy to come by in rear-entry positions, which are also easy on the back. You can adjust the angle and depth of penetration, and the ways you move about. This allows the woman to tailor-make the experience for herself while having a lot of room to increase the pleasure for her partner.

Try this position for the first time with the woman up on her knees. It's best for her to support herself with both hands so that she can keep her spine moving and undulating. Study how it feels. Use the different "modalities" of rhythms and depths of penetration. Try pumping and squeezing your PC muscles (aka Kegel exercises).

Now try it with the woman lying down, a position that stimulates the man's inner thighs. By applying pressure to his perineum (the external area between the anus and the scrotum that covers the prostate gland), the woman can help him stay focused on non-ejaculatory pleasure. This will help him from going over the top, so to speak.Keep these exercises soft, fun and explorative and take your time to enjoy every delicious moment. You're becoming an artist -- enjoy it!While rear-entry positions are some of the best, they aren't always the most appropriate and the moment must be right. I say this because you'll often want to be facing each other because eye contact, breath connection, heart chakra connection and intimacy are all facilitated through facing your partner.
