confidence in diagnosis

confidence in diagnosis

I want to believe in the medical diagnosis process (I don't know if it is standard or ad hoc), but I would like to know if there is an online location where I could gain some confidence about the possible caus and effect relationships.

My ears became plugged in mid-Dec 08 and I had a running nose and all those symptoms associated with a flu or cold.

Near the end of January, I still had plugged ears, one more than the other. In early Feb I went to my GP who started with the first anti-biotic, and then a second. Neither worked so I was sent to an EENT Specialist who had me take a hearing test to determine if my hearing was affected.  I knew it was before, but it apparrently was the necessary test to conclude that I had a viral infection and there was nothing that could be done.  A return appointment was made to apparently establish that nothing could be done.

My dentist detected rawness and discoloration in my mouth and suggested I see the  oral surgeon who implanted a tooth.

The soreness in my mouth started in Decemeber and I deduce that there is a relationship with whatever is causing my ears to be stuffed and the taste and rawness in my mouth.

 What website would I use to substantiate (or refute) my diagnosis?
