Q&A
When Less Isn't More
My eyebrows are disappearing with age. Is there anything I can do?
Many women lose their lateral eyebrow hair as they age. But if it happens suddenly, discuss it with your primary care physician. Loss of eyebrow hair could also be a sign of hormonal abnormality, such as low thyroid. To hide the bare spots, use an eyebrow pencil, or consider having permanent makeup done (be sure to consult with someone with a proven track record). There are new eyelash enhancing products (available by prescription) that may also help with thinning eyebrows.
