Get Your Skin Sparkling With New Diamond Treatment

Diamonds are a girl's best friend so the saying goes and these days that doesn't just mean the sparklers on your fingers.

DiamondTome is the latest in microdermabrasion skin technology. It can be used to treat a range of conditions such as acne scarring, sun damage and aging skin or to simply rejuvenate your complexion.

In a bid to do something about my aging face I headed off to Rebel Rouge in Glasgow, U.K. To start the treatment therapist Kirsty cleansed my skin using Priori products which have recently been introduced to the salon.

They use Alpha Hydroxy Acids more commonly known as fruit acids which work by exfoliating and moisturizing.

Then she got to work with the DiamondTome. This is quite a noisy treatment but relaxing all the same as it gently exfoliates the skin. There is a slight sucking sensation as the diamond tips are worked over the skin but it isn't unpleasant.

What is happening is the top layer of dead skin is being taken away, revealing the fresh stuff underneath. I found the treatment painless and I even liked seeing the filter afterwards to prove it had worked. I noticed a few red scars were significantly reduced and my face definitely felt softer and less oily.

Kirsty then applied a moisturizer and gave me some good advice about future skin care, particularly protecting my face against the sun.

Between four and 10 treatments are recommended depending on the problems you are hoping to solve but even after just one I could certainly see a difference. If you suffer from scarring or blocked pores this is certainly a treatment I'd recommend. For everyone else it is sure to leave you feeling fresh-faced for summer.

Diamond Tome costs pounds 65 ($90) for an hour-long treatment and pounds 55 for 30 minutes.
