  • Witchcraft in Delaware

Well, shes gotten more attention than any other least-likely to win candidate. Christine I Am Not a Witch ODonnell is a Tea Party favorite, supported by Sarah Palin. She even looks and dresses like the former Alaska governor. But, inexperienced and ill-advised, she has been making mistake after mistake as she tries to win V.P Joe Bidens former Senate seat. But, hey, the country may not want her, but SNL sure did.

  • Big Spenders

The candidates with the deepest pockets who are spending their own hard-earned cash are Californias Meg Whitman, running for governor, and Connecticuts Linda McMahon, running for the Senate. Both Republicans, Meg, the former CEO, of ebay has already spent over $163 million dollars of her own money, while McMahon has spent over $40 million, mainly for TV ads. Though the races in these traditionally blue states are close, things dont look great for either. Meg was sidetracked by a revelation that she employed then fired an illegal Latino housekeeper, while Linda, who co-owns W.W.E., has been kept in a figurative half-nelson by her wrestling past.

  • Most Watched Race Will Sharron Angle in Nevada be a giant killer? She is gunning to take down Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. A Tea Party-er, local politician and grandmother of ten, 61-year-old Sharron has proved to be a strong candidate, winning debates with Reid, and now is a little ahead in the polls. Her declaration, Man up, Harry Reid, has become one of the most memorable lines of the campaign. It is the race many Republicans want most to win.
  • Poor Blanche Senator Blanche Lincoln had a victory this year. She won the Arkansas primary in order to run again for the Senate seat she has held for two terms. Many thought she would lose. But that may be the only election night party she will attend. Things dont look good for this moderate Democrat who was the youngest woman ever elected to the Senate. Once a potential star of her party, her opponent has a double-digit lead in the polls.
  • Snowball Fight

Sarah Palin is involved in this one too. In Alaska, the candidate Sarah favored, Joe Miller, won the primary, defeating the current Senator Lisa Murkowski. It seems that Sarah really doesnt like Lisa and didnt like her father either, who was previously both senator and governor of Alaska. Dad appointed Lisa to his unexpired Senate seat, a seat that Sarah just might have kind of wanted for herself. But Lisa didnt take her primary defeat quietly. Like a mama grizzly, she reared up on her hind legs and started a write-in campaign. Now its a three-way contest for the seat and a very, very tight race

  • California Girls

Probably the woman vs. woman contest that is of greatest interest: Barbara Boxer vs. Carly Fiorina. The very liberal Senate veteran Boxer is being challenged by former Hewlett-Packard CEO and political newcomer, Fiorina. Throughout the campaign, money has flooded into our most populous state, and in the last weeks, Boxer has brought in the big-name supporters, including Bill Clinton, President Obama, and maybe the most popular of all, Michelle Obama. Fiorina, a breast cancer survivor, had to stop campaigning for a few days because of an infection related to her reconstructive surgery, but she is back on the campaign trail. The Republicans seems fairly confident they will retake the House of Representatives but they want the Senate too. This race is ke
