Jupiter Sextile Uranus: Lucky Opportunities Ahead

Over the next couple of months, Jupiter in Capricorn will be in close sextile to Uranus in Pisces. One of the interpretations of the sextile angle is "opportunity." Jupiter is traditionally a significator of luck, and Uranus is considered the planet of the unexpected. Put these three things together and you have the potential for people all signs to capitalize on unexpected but lucky opportunities this spring. Following is a brief rundown by sign of the types of opportunities you might want to be on the lookout for.

First, a few guidelines. You may see your best potentials based on your sun sign or your rising sign (Ascendant). Check out both if you know them to get a feel for your options. Also, I will be posting a brief description based on the idea that luck or opportunity will occur in the Jupiter sector due to something unexpected in the Uranus sector. In real life, however, the situation may be reversed or a little more ambiguous. The descriptions below are just to get you started thinking.

Finally, the reason I want to get you started thinking is that you are more likely to see luck and opportunity in a sector if you are actively seeking it, wanting it, asking for it, and planting seeds that can sprout during this time period. If you do not need an opportunity in the indicated sectors of your chart, the chances go down that something will happen. By the same token, if you aren't looking, you may not even notice the opportunity when it arises. Sometimes these things are quite subtle. In general, a Jupiter/Uranus opportunity is one that would arise suddenly and that you would want to respond to quickly. Good luck!

Aries: Something unexpected relating to behind the scenes activity, your spiritual life or interests, or your psychological health may provide a career opportunity or an opportunity for more public visibility, fame, community involvement, or business activity. Example: your spiritual advisor puts you in touch with someone who can help you start the entrepreneurial enterprise you've been wanting to launch.

Taurus: Something unexpected in the areas of your life relating to friendships, group activities, networking or conference events, or your humanitarian interests leads to an opportunity to travel abroad, attend an interesting educational event or even begin a degree program. Other potential areas of opportunity include publishing, the law, or church activities. Example: A friend suddenly offers to pay your way if you'll go with her to Europe and Japan on an extended business trip so she doesn't have to travel alone.

Gemini: Something unexpected in your career, community involvements or public role leads to an opportunity to increase your non-ordinary income, experience physical or psychological healing or begin a new sexual relationship. Example: Your industry is going through down-sizing and since you are nearing retirement age, you are given an opportunity to take a buy-out and officially retire while coming back to do consulting work for your old company. Special note: If you find the opportunity involves a chance to begin a sexual relationship with someone you work with or for--do try to make sure it's an appropriate relationship!

Cancer: Something unexpected arising from your church involvements, educational activities or travel leads to an opportunity to form a partnership, get married, start a commitment, appear before the public, or start a new relationship. Wildly optimistic example: Your long-time honey proposes a romantic trip and uses the occasion to pop the question! Somewhat more sober example: You really click with someone you meet at church and decide to start a small part-time business together that involves dealing with the public.

Leo: Something unexpected in the areas of joint finance, insurance, an inheritance, non-salary income, therapy, or an intimate relationship leads to a work-related opportunity or an opportunity to serve the community in some way. Example: you do freelance work for an organization and are suprised to be offered a lucrative employee position!

Virgo: Something a partner or spouse does out of the blue leads to opportunities in the areas of creative projects, children, romance, recreational activities or speculation. Examples: your partner suddenly decides he is ready to have children or an ex unexpectedly introduces you to someone that you soon start dating.

Libra: Something unexpected at work or in your volunteer work leads to opportunities at home, with your family, or for soul growth. Example: Your company surprisingly announces that it wants you to start telecommuting at least two days a week, which leads to more opportunities to spend time with your family.

Scorpio: Something you do not anticipate in the area of romance, creative projects, children or recreational activities leads to opportunities for more stimulation and activity in your daily life, or with communication projects or to do more short travel. Examples: you are surprised to find yourself suddenly dating again and in the process your world is opened up to a lot more interesting people through your new romantic interest. Or you do a graphic design project for someone on the spur of the moment and are given an unexpected opportunity to branch out into writing or media work as a result.

Sagittarius: Something unexpected on the home front, through your family, or through your own spiritual growth leads to an opportunity to make more money. Example: your parents mention your work to someone they know leading to a new client or source of income.

Capricorn: An unexpected development in your daily life, with your casual contacts, relatives or neighbors or in the communications field gives you an opportunity to do something for yourself that you've always wanted to do. Example: A neighbor, completely out of the blue, offers you tickets to March Madness, to attend one of the Final Four games no less. As a rabid college basketball fan, this is a dream come true.

Aquarius: An unexpected financial development leads to an opportunity for spiritual growth or to work on something big behind the scenes. Example: you are suprisingly offered a job working on a national political campaign. As a political junkie with strong opinions on world issues, this represents an amazing opportunity to get paid for putting your ideals into action.

Pisces: Something unexpected in your personal life leads to new opportunities for friendship, group activities, or the ability to put your humitarian ideals into action. Example: your significant other becomes involved in group that provides charitable services abroad. You become involved, meet a lot of great people, and feel you are making a real contribution.

These ideas are merely rough sketches to get you started thinking about what you kind of opportunity you'd most like to have. Do your own brainstorming as to what kinds of opportunities you'd like the universe to help you see, and then get busy planting seeds pronto! Again, good luck to all.
