Do as I say?

Back when dinosaurs ruled the earth, I had a radio talk show where for three hours a day I answered financial questions about such things as the best way to pay for college, and what kind of mortgage to get.
Eventually, we arranged it so I could do the program out of my office at Financial World in New York—callers liked that because periodically they would hear police siren in the background—but at first I had to go into the studio.
The guy on before me, a charming fellow, did a similar show. He was a legend in the business, someone I grew up listening to.
One day, he was arrested for insider trading.
Judging by the following, from WalletPop.com, http://www.walletpop.com/blog/2009/01/15/oh-the-irony-cash-in-the-attic-... these sort of problems are common place.

Oh the irony! Cash in the Attic host (and debt expert) goes bankrupt
By Beth Pinsker
Lorne Spicer has filed for bankruptcy in England, where she is known for telling other people how to raise cash and get out of debt. According to the Sun, the 43-year-old TV host used her married name to submit the paperwork, trying to avoid the negative publicity. The host of Cash in the Attic, Car Booty and Beat The Bailiff also writes an online column for the BBC on budgeting and how to get out of debt.
The Sun quotes one of her columns: ""Make a budget and stick to it. Putting the numbers down on paper will show you just where all the money is going. Set a limit on how much you are going to spend - and stick to it."
Seems like she did not follow her own advice.

I promised to remain jail and bankruptcy free in 2009.
