Have Trouble Sleeping?

Posted in

I have always had some trouble sleeping - can't turn off my mind. The worst part is that I get the least amount of sleep when I need it most. If I need to get up early, I set the alarm. It NEVER goes off. Why? I am up many times during the night and invariably am awake before the alarm goes off.

I found this post called Insomnia: 12 ways to better sleep, from 43 folders interesting. Check out the post and, at last count, 64 comments. Some great ideas and some funny ideas. This comment is both helpful and funny:

Listen to Steven Hawking audiobooks or some other similar audiobook that is interesting but monotonous.

I am not alone. I recently bought a music CD that helps me sleep from Sleep Garden. I also purchased their sleep yoga DVD. Both help (when I use them!).

Night night.

Thanks Dave, I will check out your site! I guess one of the questions I have is which mattress is best for lower back pain. I hear people saying that a hard mattress is better, but for me, I feel more pain on a hard mattress. I would be interested in a study that compared bed types and mattresses for various types of sleepers.

Hello I have a fairly new, last 3 months, blog on relieving back, neck and shoulder pain called http://backbebetter.blogspot.com or Back Be Better. While I have articles on relief through yoga, exercises, information and products, I thought I would ask for some specific feedback from people who have experienced back, neck and shoulder pain or arthritis symptoms or know someone who has. What do you need to know? What would help you most? One of the most useful aspects of the blog is that sleeping better is better for your back, which includes information on mattresses and pillows made of visco elastic. This material allows the best night's sleep you can have. See my blog for much more information. Thanks Dave
