B&Bs and Small Inns
B&Bs and Small Inns
Bed-and-breakfasts and small inns in the U.S. and Canada are perennial favorites with romantic couples because of their privacy and intimacy.
Make a Speedy Getaway
The great advantage of B&Bs and small inns is that they are scattered all around the country and that they allow bookings for brief periods at a time, such as two, three or four nights. This makes them ideal for quick romantic getaways at various times of year when you can't spare a week or two to splurge on a big vacation overseas. Short, frequent trips let you refuel the romance in your relationship on a periodic basis, to keep it in high gear all year long.
It Works Like a Charm
B&Bs and historic inns were custom-made to take advantage of idyllic locations. What could be more conducive to hand-holding and quiet closeness than staying in a historic town or the picturesque countryside? Couples find small properties such as these, often equipped with fireplaces and furnished with antiques, rich in charm. Another plus is that inns often don't accept young children, so the atmosphere likely will be quiet and relaxing. Of course, because B&Bs and small inns want to preserve their gracious ambience, audible or public whoopee-making could get you evicted! So don't get too carried away by the romantic setting.
