Cruises
It's not called "The Love Boat" by accident! As many couples have discovered, cruise vacations beckon all the romance of the high seas.
To make the most of your cruise vacation, follow these tips.
Variety Is the Spice of Life
Romance, like so many other things in life, thrives on variety -- and cruises offer you that variety. Why not let a series of exotic ports of call set the scene for your romantic renewal? One day you and your partner might stroll the winding, historic lanes of Old San Juan; the next day you could be sipping daiquiris above a sweeping vista of St. Thomas's Magen's Bay; and a day later you might find yourselves dining on coq au vin in a charming seaside bistro on Martinique. Without a doubt, the ever-changing romantic backdrop of a cruise gives you endless opportunities to rediscover each other.
Sail Away
Despite all the modern conveniences found on a cruise ship, you'll find that the cares and distractions of the real world slip away as you set sail. Out on the high seas, unwanted intrusions are much less likely to disrupt your mood: Your cellular phone and pager won't ring, and you can be reached by fax or ship-to-shore phone call only in cases of real emergency. And when you set foot on land again, it will be on an exotic terrain far away from home. After all, privacy and time to yourselves may be the most important ingredient to romance. And the glowing sunsets and secluded balconies won't hurt either.
